What is a Vet Center?

Vet Centers are VA community counseling centers. They offer free, confidential counseling to eligible Veterans, service members, and their families in a relaxed, non-medical setting. Services include individual and group counseling, couples and family counseling, help with military sexual trauma, grief counseling, and referrals to other VA and community resources.

You don't need to be enrolled in VA health care or have a disability rating to use a Vet Center. Vet Center records are kept separate from your VA medical record. Eligibility is set by VA. If you're not sure you qualify, call the Vet Center or the Call Center and ask.
